Leg Pain

Leg pain is a very common problem encountered by many people. As in a day-to-day life because of more work and less rest there result a lot of complications like, leg injuries, muscles contractions in any part of joints, in hips, and foot. Without under your conscious control there is a muscles contractions in knee areas, foots, and calf muscles. Leg pain can occur to anyone; it is generally seen in old age people but also observed in young population. In ayurveda it is called as pada shool. It is caused by aggravation of vata in the body.

Leg Pain Causes

Leg pain can be due to a dreadful and terrible involuntary muscular contraction, tiredness of muscles, excess walking, exercises, nervous strain and lump formation because of blood clotting, improper blood circulation in the knees, hips, and foot causes leg pain.

Lack of water, improper diet, and food not rich in required calcium, vitamins, and minerals like potassium, which are necessary for growth and development of bone in child and proper working of body in case of adults also lead to leg pain.

Abnormal growth of tissues, stress, damages in nerves. Loss of strength and physical energy resulting from excess work also causes leg pain .

Overdoses of chemical-based medicines, any injury, and low level of cholesterol, weakening of body and muscles, arthritis disease, pain in bones, diabetes, weakness, obesity, hormonal problems, pain in nerves, skin and bone-related infections and tumors also causes leg pain.

Leg Pain Symptoms

There is muscle contraction, pain in knees, hips, and foot. The person is unable to do hard physical work, there is pain in muscles, lack of blood in the body, inability to do exercise are some of the symptoms for leg pain.

Leg Pain Diet

Drink enough water to keep yourself cool as it soothes muscles contractions and also relief leg pain. Before doing any physical exercises like, going for gym, walking, drink sufficient quantity of water as it keeps the body hydrated.

Supply your body enough fruit juices in order to maintain a healthy balance of body and mind.

Eat milk products like cheese, milk, soya beans, nuts, green vegetables salads, food with high calcium contents and potassium contents as they are very necessary for bones. These will make your bones strong and relieve leg pain.

Eat balanced nutritional diet like, green vegetables, carrot, sugarcane, bananas, nuts, sprouts, apple, citrus fruits oranges, beets, and grapes. They are effective and should be included in diet to relief leg pain.

Regular exercise and yoga will keep you mentally and physically fit and also act as leg pain, breathing problem, and stress reliever.

Do some kinds of leg stretching exercises as it improves blood circulation and relives leg painand muscular contractions.

Do yoga regularly some yogic asanas are very affective in reliving leg pain, joint pain, hips pain, and many more. Do breathing exercises as it has tremendous effect on overall body, your overweight problem, thyroid problem, kidney and liver disorder will definitely be cured by doing such mental relaxing exercises.

Home Remedies for Leg Pain

Warm water bath of Epsom salt---Warm water bath of Epsom salt, which is rich in magnesium, is a good pain reliever. This is very helpful for arthritis patients and also relieves leg pain. One of the useful home remedies for leg pains.

Good balance of work and rest is very necessary. Take enough rest as it relieves leg pain.

Rubbing lobelia paste also provides relief in leg pain. This is one of the best home remedies for leg pains

Vinegar is also great for relieving leg pain, controlling weight, chest burns, injuries of joints, and bad breath.

A cloth pad thoroughly wet in vinegar solution when applied firmly to joints, foot or other part of leg relieves leg painand discomfort.

Eating hard shell nuts also relief leg pain.

Gently massage you leg using hot pads as it provide physical relief to leg pain.

Massaging with oils like mustard oil, coconut oil gives fast relief from severe leg pain. One of the useful home remedies for leg pains

Regular warm oil massage in downward direction relieves leg pains. Stretch your leg gently and massage the strained muscles using warm oil, it gives relief from pain in joints, knees, leg palm, calf muscles, and hips.

You can also take one tablespoon methi, which is a very effective vegetable and helps in curing various diseases. Dry methi leaves under sun for 4-5 days. Mix it in a glass of water. Take this mixture in early morning. This is one of the important home remedies for leg pains

Rub your feet using ice blocks as it soothes the tired muscles.

Warm water bath relaxes overall body and mind, so whenever you feel tiredness and pain in leg, go for warm water bath, this will unstrain the tired muscles.

Avoid taking alcohol, excess sugar, smoking, and chewing tobacco, especially, if there is a leg paindue to the disturbance in the functioning of nerves.
