Following preparations are found in Ashtaang samgraha. The number of preparations in Ahtaanghridya is reduced from more than 90 to 75.

  • Bhasma (calcinated ash),
  • Dhana (grains),

  • Dadhi (curd),
  • Dhoopanam (fumigation),
  • Dhoomrapaan (medicated smoking),
  • Gandoosh (gargle),
  • Gutika (pills/tablet),
  • Guda (jaggery preparation),
  • Ghirtapaak (processed ghee),
  • Ghrita (ghee),
  • Ikshurasa (sugar cane juice),
  • Kachranjanam,
  • Karnapoornam (filling the ear cavity by medicine like ear drops),
  • Kalka (paste),
  • Kaval (gargle),
  • Kliat (residual part of butter),

  • Vishkanya (woman supposed to brought up by such process that she was poisonous and was used to kill enemy king) ,
