The trash is removed and now what remains on the beach are pieces of rounded ocean glass. These glass pieces reflect the many hues of the ocean during the day to create myriad colors.
The scene of the mighty waves of the Pacific crashing onto to the rocky shores is a majestic sight to behold. For the picturesque view of the Mendocino village, head to the Mendocino Bay Overlook, where you can the village with the blue ocean forming a majestic backdrop.
To see a rugged coastline dotted with bright flowers and grassy meadows, visit the Mendocino Headlands. The high rocky hillocks set near the ocean make for postcard perfect scenery. There are many private bays and beaches here, where you can enjoy a romantic ambiance. A great place for pinking in the California sunshine, the Mendocino Headlands are also considered ideal for activities such as surfing, hiking and fishing. Point Arena is another popular spot which offers fabulous scenes of the Pacific coast. The view from the top of the lighthouse situated on the edge of a rock is indeed fascinating.
