Nikon CoolPix S220

nikon-coolpix-s220A camera is something that is no longer a luxury, and has rather become quite a basic and integral part of life. And why shouldn’t it be? After all, all of us love storing our memorable moments so that we can cherish them later. Therefore, each person wants to own a camera.

Nikon launches a camera by the name of CoolPix S220 which seems to be quite attractive and appealing to the eye at the very first sight. The camera is available in unique and beautiful colours such as plum, warm silver, aqua green, graphite black, cobalt blue, and even smooth magenta. Each of these looks quite classy, trendy and stylish and will surely act as head- turners when you pull it out in a crowded place.

The weight for this camera along with the battery and the media comes out to be close to 4 ounces, and it has 2.5 inch LCD screen for viewing. The battery is lithium ion rechargeable and allows up to 180 shots in a go.  The file format supported by this camera for still and video is JPEG and motion JPEG, and there is a 3x zoom with the camera being of 10 mega pixels.

Unlike many bulky cameras, this one happens to be compact and light- weight. It is quite comfortable to use, and the control layout is also pretty simple with a basic power button, and other few buttons for navigation of menu and accessing various shooting options. The colour effects that this camera allows you to get include standard, vivid, sepia, black and white, pastel and cyanotype.

Though one can’t expect extremely great quality pictures with this small miracle gadget, it still manages to be quite impressive. One of the reasons for this could be that it manages to bring to us great features at a price at which most manufacturers don’t offer much.
