LG Unveils GD910 Watch Phone

lg-gd910-watchphoneRecently, LG launched GD910 Watch Phone, though the product has been available only through orange; however, it would be followed by other network provider also shortly across the globe.

Features:

1.43 inch LCD touch screen: The small screen is very responsive to sliding across with your fingers; the keypad is surprisingly easy to type on. It provides user with a camera as well.

Bluetooth and 3G connectivity: The Bluetooth instantly works when you flick on the headset.

Sleek Design: The phone/watch has leather like strap that can be adjusted accordingly. It has a slim slot provided with the battery that is placed at the back of the phone. The charger is aesthetically designed with a clamp that holds the phone to a metal plate, which then connects to a USB charger for computer compatibility as well

Great Connectivity: The user can conveniently connect it to various devices like laptop, notebook and MIDs.

Video calling: Video calls conducted over the HSDPA hook-up on the LG Watch Phone work perfectly alright.

Additional Features: It also provides user with features like music player, voice recognition and text to speech function. The clocks and calendar also have a vertical option that enables the user to scroll up and down and they could choose new options as well.

Review:

The G910 has very basic user interface and the main interface is divided into six categories – Time, Contacts and Messaging, Settings, Alerts, Memo and Calendar, and a direct link to Voice/Video calling.

The touch screen undeniably has an improved quality, far better than LG’s other touch screen products, and invariably allows the user to navigate around the phone quite easily and comfortably.

Shortcomings of the GD 910:

The leather-like strap though looks cool yet loosens every now and then, so you’ll need to keep tightening it up. Occasionally, when you try to open Voice/Video call section, you are more likely to hit inadvertently the other dialer options. Though the Video calling feature is pretty satisfactory; however, the angle of holding the phone pointed towards the face is little annoying. The best option is to take it off while video calling.
