Dell and Nickelodeon come up together to bring out a new net book specially designed for children. Dell is a multinational technological corporation based in Texas. It develops, manufactures and sells personal computers and other related items. Nickelodeon is owned by MTV Network which is a subsidiary of media giant Viacom.
Dell Nickelodeon is a durable net book. It combines excellent technology and content and parental control also. It provides shopping security too. It has the ‘Green slime’ design both on the outside and inside which is a trademark of Viacom Inc Channels. It contains several entertainments and educational soft ware’s which will please both the kids and adults alike.
The Net book has all the common features that one expects in a Net book. It has an Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 12 GB hard drive, a 1.3 mega pixel web cam and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi wireless net working. It has a 10.1 inch colour LCD display. It weighs less than 3 pounds so that kids can carry it around easily.

The Net book has an animated link to educational portal Whyville.net. At this site kids can actively participate in educational activities and games sponsored by NASA, Scholastic Publishing, the Centres for Disease Control and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.
The net book includes a 15 month subscription to McAfee family Security which provides wide-ranging parental controls to carefully direct and watch kid’s online activities. The Net book is equipped with built-in LoJack for Laptops anti theft programme. If it is lost or stolen, the Dell Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Edition can report its location on the internet through this programme.
