Marriage and Parenthood

8 September, 2009, Being a Mom - No Comment

It is quite practical, that once a baby is born to you, your romantic nights are going to be converted into changing diapers or giving night time feed. Not only the night, but throughout the day you will find that you are not being able to find any spare time for your better-half. Sometimes this becomes pretty frustrating and depressing.

However, becoming a parent of a newborn, will also give you much divine pleasure, especially when your child will start interacting with you. So, both these relations are too important to maintain successfully. You should not neglect any one just to pay more attention towards that particular relation. Here are certain useful tips, which might help you to confront this complicated situation.

* Both of your should get prepared mentally that you are going to miss some of the fun and enjoyment of your formal life. Accept this fact and get motivated to have the baby as early as possible. This motivation will help you to think as a family and not as a couple, once the baby arrives.

* If your health permits, then enjoy the time fully with your spouse till the baby is born. If you have wished to do something very romantic with your partner, then fulfill your wish before getting pregnant.

* Train your husband on taking care of your baby. Make him involved in various activities related to the baby like diaper changing, feeding etc, so that he can also feel the bonding with his child.

* Do not become an obsessive mother. Give your baby the basic support and comfort, whatever she needs. But take some time off to refresh yourself and enjoy a good time chat with your husband, when she is sleeping or busy in playing.

* Even if you feel too tired at night, keep some time for your spouse once your baby sleeps to talk about the day. Do not give him any chance to misunderstand you. He might encourage you to take a good night sleep without any disturbance.

* You might take a couple of months off from your sex life, but you should not put a full stop to it, once your baby is born. It will help you to stay fit and stable physically, by controlling the sex hormones.
