Many parents complain that their living rooms have become disaster since they had children. Well, young children should have their freedom to play around without unnecessary restriction. They would love to mess up with their things and move freely. Parents should remember that once their children grow old, they would hardly get to see these funny little acts of the tiny kids.
If you want to help your kids to be organised with their toys, then follow the simple guidelines.
1) Discard the unwanted toy from the toy bag: In your child’s toy bag, there will be a number of things that may not be used again. It could be some broken toys, the toys that have some parts missing, the toys that are too small for your child’s age, etc. Discard them or give it off to the needy. This will give you enough of space of the toys as well as make it manageable.
2) Group the similar toys together: See that all the toys of similar kind are kept together and are labelled. This will help your child to pick the right one of their interest at a time. When they do something good, give them their favourite toy as a token of appreciation. Allow your child to have an understanding of how you have organised and kept the toys in place.
3) Be choosy in buying toys: Buy those toys in which your children are interested. But do not simply waste money and space by buying the toy that your child already has. Get them which are useful to them and will help them in their mental development.
4) Make a daily routine for clean ups: Children at young age are fond of doing clean ups. Make them assist you in cleaning up. Let this be a daily routine so that they show interest to keep their toys back after playing. This will also develop their good habits and help to become organised in the later run. If they fail to keep the toys in proper place, tell them that they will not be getting toys anymore to play.
