This Patagium appears like a parachute when the Sugar Gliders spread out their feet and hands. This feature makes the Sugar Gliders all the more special and also allows them to float in air. Another attraction in Sugar Gliders is their hind feet and the big toes that help them to make a strong grip on branches of trees. The hind feet and toes also assist them in climbing and gliding.

Sugar gliders have been observed as extremely social and lovable pets. They just love lots of people around them and is quite attention seeking. This makes a viable reason for them being close to their owners and families. As a matter of fact, if you are an individual, you should never keep a single sugar glider as pet. It is better that you get another sugar glider so that both can provide each other good company. Another fact about them is that like other pets they cannot adjust just anywhere in house. They need a specially formed space or a cage that is spacious and comfortable to stay in.
