Obesity in Dogs: A Strict No – No
If your dog is obese then you are really asking for trouble. Diabetes, bone and joint damage, decreased liver function are some of the bad effects of obesity in dogs. So it is always advisable to prevent your dogs from gaining unwanted weight rather than curing it of the various ailments associated with obesity.
Dogs have a tendency to over eat. So in best interests you always oversee the quantity and the quality of the food it takes in. Make a proper schedule so that the pet takes meals at designated times and at proper intervals. In the market you will get dog foods of various companies but healthy natural weight control formulas are really good for your dogs.
A dog is man’s best friend. But there are limitations to this friendship. You just cannot feed your dog from you dinner plate. It is a bad habit and your pal will gain excess more weight more easily this way. Again, no exercise makes a dog a real sloth. He needs to exercise regularly to keep the body weight in check. You can engage him in sessions of tug – of – war and fetch the ball.
