Make sure that the tank is set up in a way that it contains both dry and marshy areas.
The tank must contain equipments that cater to maintain correct temperature. The recommended temperature during the day is 96 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit and between 60 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the night. Using a combination of incandescent and florescent lights can keep your pet comfortable and would also allow it to bask under the hot rocks. A shallow dish that contains drinking water is a must keep in the tank. This water should be changed every day to avoid toxicity. The design of the tank or cage should be such that it can be cleaned easily.
