But how many of us know that sesame seeds have medicinal properties as well. The white sesame seeds are used in generating sesame oil where as the black type are medicinal in nature.

Sesame seeds are used in various hair oils. It is used when people face hair fall or dandruff problems. Greying of hair in a young age can be treated with a good massage of warm sesame oil. Sesame oil is thick in nature and should be mixed with a little bit of coconut oil and then applied to hair. A good massage with this mixture will definitely give good results. People who have thin hair should use this kind of a mixture and will see that in no time they too have good thick hair. Eating a small quantity of black sesame seeds and a small piece of coconut will improve the texture of hair.

Sesame is used when people get hurt and have a cut. It helps to reduce the pain and recover the cut faster. It is also used in a number of anti marks creams. It is a good ingredient to reduce the scars that are formed after a wound is recovered. It is also used in a number of medicines which are given to a patient who has suffered a fracture. Sesame is a natural source to recover fractures. It gives strength to the bones and helps them join faster. Sesame oil is used in a number of massage oils to restore lost moisture in skin and give strength to muscles. It is used in massage oils for babies as well. It increases heat in the body and hence keeps babies warm.

People who are undernourished and their weight does not increase should eat a small quantity of sesame seeds everyday. This will increase the weight of the person as well as improve health. Sesame is also used to reduce the germs that grow in the stomach. Sesame is an important part of our kitchen, keep a stock of it always, you never know where it will come in use.
