Breathe Deep and Stay Healthy

 

DeepBreatheWe all know that we breathe, because without breathing we would be dead. That is the reason we take it for granted and never notice how we are breathing.

If you notice carefully, you will find that you breathe normally when you are stress free and when you are tensed or under pressure you tend to take short and irregular breaths. That means that you are taking short supplies of the most vital element that any living organism needs – oxygen.

Oxygen is so important that its short supply causes malfunction of all the organs of the body including the control center, the brain. You may not feel anything on day one or day two or on the following days.

But as this goes on you will notice that the organs are malfunctioning. And that is when the various ailments set in. so what is the remedy?

The answer is deep breathing. By deep breathing it is meant that the air is inhaled till such time when the entire lungs are filled with air and then exhaling the entire air out so that all the carbon dioxide is breathed out.

Make sure that even the lower part of the lungs near the abdomen also gets filled up. Most often it has been seen that while taking deep breaths, people only fill up the chest.

That actually does not cover the entire lungs. If you do it consciously whenever you get time, you will feel that you are breathing easy and will feel much stress free. While exhaling draw in the abdomen so that maximum stale air is breathed out.

If you can do deep breathing in the right way you can get rid of or prevent the occurrence of various ailments like bronchitis, improve alertness, relive tension, improve the strength of your lungs and most importantly, supply enough oxygen to your bloodstream to revitalize all the organs of your body.

Practice deep breathing consciously so that you can apply it on various occasions where there is stress. Take deep breaths when you tend to react to something which is not right, take short deep breathing exercise in the workplace to rejuvenate the supply of oxygen in your bloodstream and also take the exercise when going to bed so that you get undisturbed sleep. These are the places where controlling the breathing can give wonderful results.
