“Old dogs” is an upcoming American comedy movie starring Robin Williams and John Travolta. The supporting roles have been played by Matt Dillon, Justin Long, Kelly Preston, Rita Wilson, Seth Green, Dax Shepard and Bernie Mac. The movie is directed by Walt Becker and it all set to hit the big screens on 25th November 2009. This is also the final film by Bernie Mac. He had expired in August 2008.

Two best friends one of whom is unlucky in love is the character being played by Robin Williams (Charlie). Robin Williams (Dan) is divorced in the movie. The other friend is a fun loving Bachelor and this role has been performed by John Travolta.

Both of the friends find their lives turned upside down when they least expected it and they get unexpectedly charged with the custody of twins that are six years old. This is also the time in both of their lives when they are on the verge of the life’s most unexpected deal was just going to crack. Both the friends are non kids savvy and thus they lurch in their efforts and responsibility to take care of the twins. The new comers are named Conner Rayburn and Ella Bleu Travolta. There is one after other catastrophe in both of the friend’s lives which eventually leads to a very important understanding of life.

Charlie and Dan are co-workers and best friends but this incidence plays quite an important role in their life as before this incident they did not have any importance of family and life. Vicki (played by Kelly Preston) is Dan’s ex-wife and she shows up at last to reveal that Dan along with her have seven year old twins.

The movie has been filmed in Connecticut, Old Greenwich and some parts of Greenwich. This movie was actually planned to be released in April, 2009 but untimely death of a co-star Bernie Mac led Disney to postpone the date of release to 25th November, 2009. However, there is no reference of Mac’s role in the movie’s advertisements on internet but his name appears in two out of the three trailers that the movie has.
