Sugaring : Harmless and Natural Hair Removal Method
Body sugaring is homemade and a cheap alternative to waxing and shaving. It is process of removing body hair from root, thereby making its re-growth less denser and much softer.
The new hair that comes out of the skin days after the sugaring has been done is not stubby as in case of using a razor. The process of sugaring is done by making a paste of sugar with lemon juice and water. The mixture is heated until it reaches a softball candy like stage.
The paste is cooled just that much that you do not get burned and then spread over the skin and covered with a strip of cotton cloth. The cloth is then ripped off similarly as we do in case of stripping of a bandage. It is in reality less painful of a process than that of waxing.
Sugaring and waxing are often put in the same category of hair removal technique. They are somewhat similar in the way the hair is ripped off but at the same time they are quite different from the aspect of pain.
Waxes are generally made of resins and contain harmful ingredients such as chemicals, dyes, artificial fragrances and preservatives. There are large chances that some or the other ingredient may induce allergies in body.
It is common for people to get allergic of artificial fragrances. These reactions can make the skin change its color. You may also feel irritation over the skin and may even develop rashes.
Another major difference between the wax and sugar paste is that the wax is insoluble in water whereas the sugar paste is easily soluble in water. Because of this property the sugar paste that is left over the skin after sugaring can be easily washed off with water.
In case of wax, another specially formulated chemical that is known as the wax remover has to be used. Sugaring method is absolutely safe as it only takes off the dead cells.
In process of waxing live skin cells also get damaged and removed by the wax. In sugaring less strain is put over the skin. This is because unlike waxing in sugaring the hair is ripped off in the same direction is that of the hair growth.
