Sarong Fashion Styles
Sarong is a traditional piece of cloth that adorns the people in Asia and beyond. It is worn as a kilt by men and as a skirt by the women. It may be of checkered pattern, woven plaid pattern, in batik print, or even dyed to one’s desire.Sarongs have since long, come a long way in terms of fashion sense. Ways to Tie a Sarong
The beach cover-up way to tie one is to simply take the two corners of the cloth and fasten in a square knot around the waist. You can fasten it again as a double knot if you want to make it secure enough! Or you can pin down the open ends of it, if you’re wary of showing too much skin . Alternatively you can fold it into a triangular portion or in half, for different looks.
Another way is to provide coverage by tying it around the waist, and tucking the ends within, and securing it with a brooch or pin.
Wear the sarong as a tube dress by simply wrapping it twice around your body, from the armpits to below, and securing the ends with a knot or with pins , whichever suits you.
A chic method for wearing it is, hold the sarong behind you, with the long sides on the top. Cross them on your front and tie them behind your neck. For a sleeker look however, twist the long corners before tying them around the neck.
