It’s really a pain plucking your eyebrows with a pair of tweezers. If your eyebrows need tweezing and you don’t want it to be a painful experience, keep the following tips in mind:
The best time to tweeze is after you have had your bath. The skin becomes soft and tweezing becomes easier. Hairs come out without much effort or pain.
Don’t hurry. Pluck only one strand at a time. Even if you are getting late the trick is to pull out only one hair at a time. This concentrates the pain only at one point. Its more important to concentrate on getting rid of the pain. Remove hair from alternate places one after another. Don’t concentrate only on one spot and keep plucking. Alternating will reduce pain at one point at a time.
If you have forgotten to tweeze just after a bath, then, ice can be used. Rub some ice cubes on the eyebrows or the place where plucking is necessary. Either rub it directly and wipe the area so that it becomes dry. Or wrap ice cubes in some cotton cloth or tissues. This will numb the area to be tweaked. Hence it will reduce the pain.
Alcohol can also be used to diminish the pain. Apply some alcohol on the eyebrows before tweezing. If it still pains then pour a little alcohol on a cloth and wipe your eyebrows with it from time to time.
Usually the eyebrow area gets swollen due to this process. There are rashes, the skin becomes red. Chamomile tea is very helpful in such cases. It helps get rid of rashes, skin inflammation, skin irritation, swelling up of skin. Put some of it on a piece of cotton and massage it on the affected area. Chamomile tea acts as a soothing agent.
Though tweezing is a very slow and laborious process. Still, we all use it when we are in a hurry. You can pick out any of the above mentioned tips before plucking out hair to avoid unnecessary pain. So happy tweezing!
