Men in Black, Too

meninblackBlack is popular and that needs no proof. Both men and women prefer the color whatever their skin color might be. But much has been said about the little black dress and the black satin gowns as the friends of women. So let’s now talk about what black has to offer to the men.

Black is formal, black is informal, black is traditional, black is trendy, black is for the young, black is for the old, and black is omnipresent. Black always had been the color of the formal wear, be it the tuxedos, suits or the ties.

Again black has its functionality as it matches all colors and that means pairs of black shoes and belts can go with many of the articles in the wardrobe. Like the women, black gives a slim look to the men too. Just use it intelligently.

Similarly, if someone has a fine black suit then it will suit almost any occasion. And that will look stunning when matched up with shirts in colors like pink, pistachio or aqua.

Team it up with ties in these bright colors with a monochromatic base to complete the look. That means there is no need to go for the conservative approach of matching the shirt to the suit and then the tie to the shirt.

That is too common and black is such a color that one can easily experiment with it. Black is suitable for creating striking contrasts and is also the perfect base for playing with colors. So try to extract as much from black as possible.

Black is no more just acting as the base color for the apparels of men. It is being added to accentuate the other colors. The solid colors of blazers are being replaced by the ones having black patterns like the herringbone.

Similarly, the dress shirts have blacks being used in bold stripes. The perfect tie should be a silk one with patterns in striking colors. If the shirt has checks or window pane designs then get the tie in geometric prints.

In footwear too, black is being is used as the accent color. It is replacing the same color stitching giving it a more casual look. The accessories are not far behind and the men can get cuff links and other jewelry items in black if they want to.
