How to take care of your feet this winter?

 

winterfeetcareWe expect a lot from our feet and though we look after our face really well, but never pay an iota of attention to our feet; as a result they develop ugly cracks and eventually that becomes terribly painful for us.

Winter is the time when we need to pay special attention to our feet as dry and harsh weather can cause loads of problem to your feet.

And you won’t even realize when your feet are screaming for your attention. Be careful and pamper your feet with utmost care this winter so that they would be soft and supple and you’d not have any embarrassment flaunting them.

Apply Vaseline or glycerin in the night:

Most of us are aware of this fact that we need to apply some good quality cream, Vaseline or glycerin before going to bed. However; very few people actually practice this and usually we all are so much preoccupied with other chores that we complete forget to even give it a thought.

As a result, during winter you can find people covering up their ugly cracks with boots and roman sandal.

Indulge in regular pedicure:

Even if you are busy; ensure that you regularly perform pedicure and you don’t have to necessarily go to salon to get pedicure done. Try to remove dead skin of your feet as much as you can by scrubbing it with pumice stone or foot file. Mix some glycerin, lemon and sugar and massage your feet with this solution; rinse off and apply moisturizer to your feet.

Home remedies for Dry Cracked Heels:

Banana Mask: Mash ripe banana and gently apply it on the cracks of your feet; let it stay there for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off.

Lemon Juice: Squeeze some lemon juice and mix it with water; soak your feet in this solution for few minutes and feel the difference.

Paraffin with mustard oil: Melt some paraffin wax, and add few drops of mustard oil in it; later apply this on the affected area.

Coconut Oil: Massage your cracked heels gently with 2-3 drops of coconut oil for few minutes, and later wash it with lukewarm water.
