Body Waxing
Waxing is the process in which hair is removed from its root. Waxing is a semi permanent procedures for hair removing and new hair normally grow back on the body parts in six to eight weeks. The body waxing is very popular among women and through this process you can remove hair from any part of the body like under arms, arms, legs, face, back, abdomen as well as pubic area.
Body waxing can be done by either hot wax or hard wax. Although hot wax is quite popular; however, hard wax is also widely used to remove unwanted hair.
In hot waxing, the fine layer of warm wax is applied in the direction of the hair growth by using stripes, the hair is pulled off. One should be little careful while using the hot wax method as there are chances of getting burnt, if the wax applied on the body is very hot.
On the other hand, in the hard waxing, the layer of wax applied is quite thick and removed gently when it cools down. This method is also known as no- strip method as there are no strips used during waxing. Hard wax is used to remove the hair from areas that are more sensitive, for e.g., eyebrows, face, bikini area, navel and underarms.
There are many different products of hard wax available in the market like Brazilian wax and Gigi Mimosa hard film wax. In Brazilian wax, usually hair of bikini area is removed. This method is not recommended for those who suffer from diabetes varicose veins and warts
Precautions to be taken while waxing:
The area that needs to be waxed should be properly cleaned. If you are pregnant or on birth control pills, you should better go for the patch test 24 hours prior to waxing to ensure that you don’t have any allergies. People who consume blood thinner or patients of diabetes should be cautious and should seek doctor’s opinion before waxing. If you consume too much of alcohol or caffeine, then better wait for few hours until the effect of the stimulant goes off.
