Beauty Secrets From The Kitchen

239_p07Guess what..the easiest ways to look gorgeous and stunning come right out of your kitchen shelf. So the next time you go and rummage through the cosmetic store, remember, you’ve all the essential ingredients right here in your kitchen!

Keep your skin glowing with these natural beautifying agents, and keep those chemical products away. Some handy tips are:

1.) For Oily Skin:

If you have persistent oiliness on your skin that just refuses to go away, try these handy products. Instead of using those ‘oil-free’ moisturizers and harsh chemicals on your skin, opt for natural stuff that has astringent like properties.

* Make a mixture of grapes, egg white and lemon extracts, and apply on your face. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

The lemon removes the oiliness and egg white tightens the skin, closing the pores.

* Cut a lemon into wedges and apply the same all over your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes again and this time rinse off with cold water. Your facial skin will be refreshed instantly!

* For a home made facial mask, take a slice of pumpkin pulp and mix it with cold milk. Apply this as a mask on your face and see the oil disappear from your t-zone, in about half an hour.

2.) For Acne:

* Apply a mixture of powdered turmeric and neem leaves-paste on your skin. Neem has skin clearing properties  .

* Apply on the skin, a mixture of oats and crushed - dried mint leaves for abour 20 minutes. This will help in reducing pimples, after a rinse with warm water.

* For a long-term effect, take a mixture of crushed garlic juice and apply on the skin everyday to reduce pimples.

* Mix thickened curd, turmeric, and a couple of drops of oil, and apply. See results in two weeks.

3.) For Black Spots:

* Take 100 grams each of  dried basil leaves, mint and neem leaves and grind them well together. Mix it with turmeric powder and rose water to make a paste. Apply this paste to the spots on your face.

* Apply ground betel leaves with coconut oil and apply it on the spots.

* A paste of saffron and honey should be made and applied in the effected areas.

* Take half a teaspoon of lemon juice and apply it along with glycerin on the spots. The spots will reduce gradually if this is applied regularly.

* Make a paste of powdered turmeric and dried and crushed curry leaves and apply on the face . Leave for about 20 minutes and wash off, to give way to clearer skin.
