On a reality check, we actually get to know that some of our poor habits, heredity, and skin type are the major and most popular causes of acne. What we don’t realize is, there are a thousand more myths about appearance of acne, that are not actually true and need to be busted! Often misconceptions result in improper treatment of acne.

Poor hygiene causes acne: This is the most common myth which stated that acne is caused by being unclean , Partially true, it is actually because of over secretion of oil by the skin, which if not removed, gets trapped inside the skin and leads to breakouts. The best way out it, clean you face twice a day with a face wash and have intake of lots of water!

Junk Food causes acne: Fast food like chocolates and oily stuff is often blamed for leading to acne. This is actually not true, as the diet has no connection whatsoever , with acne that we may suffer from!

To run its way: Acne should not be allowed to ‘heal itself over time’, contrary to popular belief. For people with a sever case of acne, consultation with a dermatologist is a must. Numerous anti-acne treatments are available, which can help us get rid of acne completely.

Squeezing it will clear it: This is a widespread opinion, that in order to keep the skin clear, you should squeeze the acne . On the contrary, doing such a thing will make the bacteria set inside deeper and will lead to worse future breakouts.

Clear acne by Tanning: Protective creams should always be employed for the outdoors and tanning does not actually clear the skin of pimples. Only the redness may lead you to think that the pimple has disappeared whereas actually it might just be the opposite!

Okay, so you have got a pimple, when you least expect it. Don’t go on to burst it, or pinch it. Doing something like this to it will make sure it lasts longer as a bump on your face plus, will leave a permanent mark on the skin. So just dab a bit of anti-pimple cream and relax.
